The QUAD Fellowship program will sponsor 100 exceptional students from America, Japan, Australia, and India to pursue their master’s and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the United States. 25 students from each QUAD country will be selected under the QUAD fellowship. Quad fellows will get selected from an international pool of distinguished candidates from the four Quad countries. Prospective fellows are expected to demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional results in their field, and a desire to use their talents to promote collective good who will advance innovation and research with a steadfast dedication to positive social impact. The Quad Fellowship 2022 application is live and will remain open until 5 pm on June 30, 2022 (EST).
What is QUAD Fellowship?
The QUAD fellowship is a new graduate-level fellowship designed to build ties among the next generation of scientists & technologists from 4 quad countries (America, Japan, Australia, & India). Quad fellowship is a first-of-its-kind scholarship program intended to bring together up to 25 STEM students from each of the 4 quad countries to advance innovation & research by studying for their Master’s & Ph.D. degrees in the United States.
Eligibility for QUAD Fellowship 2022
- The citizens or legal permanent residents of quad countries, i.e. Australian, Indian, Japanese, or American.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a STEM field by August 2023.
- Age at the time of application must be 18 years old.
- Have a demonstrated record of superior academic achievement at the undergraduate level.
- If applicants are currently enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program, they may apply if they will be enrolled in a qualified academic program during their time as a Fellow (i.e., August2023 – May2024).
How to Apply for QUAD Fellowship?
- Visit the official website of QUAD Fellowship & click on Apply link.
- After that, a new page will open on the screen where you can see important info then scroll down to find the start your application here button & click on that.
- Now if you have already registered on the portal, click on the login option to log in. otherwise click on the create an account option.
- A new signup form will open, enter the email address, first name, and last name, and click on the continue option. Now enter the further details in the registration form and click on the submit option.
- After successful registration, log in with the details and enter your details in the application form.
- Upload the relevant document asked, and then click on the submit option to submit your quad fellowship application.
Benefits & Scholarship Under QUAD Fellowship
The Quad Fellowship offers a combination of financial benefits, cross-cultural exchange, networking, and content programming.
- Each Quad Fellow will receive a one-time award of $50,000 which can be used for tuition, accommodation, and all academic related academic expenses.
- All Quad Fellows are eligible to apply for separate demonstrated needs-based funding of up to $25,000 to cover costs related to completing graduate-level studies.
- Upon graduation from the Quad Fellowship program, Senior Fellows will have access to resources that support a lifelong network across cohorts and the Quad countries

This QUAD scholarship program was first announced in September 2021 and intends to bring together exceptional American, Japanese, Australian, and Indian masters and doctoral students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to study in the United States. University Grants Commission (UGC) issued an official notice on 24th May 2022, urging Indian students to apply for the newly launched Quad Fellowship Programme.
